This work can be deeply therapeutic; however, I am not a psychotherapist.
Many Western therapeutic traditions are based in pathology: what is wrong, how it went wrong, who made it go wrong and how we feel about it going wrong. Lifeworks is based in vision--desire, care, and intention.
We are whole, always creating and sustaining ourselves as we engage with the unknown. We can access all we need as we engage life. The world is not in our control but we are in charge of our reponses and actions. We are always free to choose.
I value reverence, and delight. My practice is to be humble and curious with the mystery of each client. I offer presence, perspective, and insight, as well as rigor and honesty. I provide clients both fluidity and constancy. I have a rich and varied tool box. All this, and a good dose of humor, form the heart of my work.
We are less static form than we are fluid becoming. It is our essential nature to change and our human imperative to create. From the cellular level to the non-physical realms, we are fundamentally beings of movement. Change is our only constant. Choice is our greatest power.
Knowing arises immediately, change can happen in an instant. Yet, the process of change is continual and cyclic in nature. We spiral around core themes just as a tree spirals upwards in its trajectory to the sky. We can measure change by duration, frequency, and intensity.
Health for one is not so for another.
Health is not the same as being symptom free. Healing is not the same as curing. Health is not a state, but a continuum of experience, a process of Being. Like any biological organism or organic system, we can enliven. We are regenerative in nature.
Life encourages coherency, the ability to self organize through change.
Aging can bring decay or more resilience and fluid adaptability.
Any body, no matter how traumatized, worn out or ill, has the capacity to renew and revitalize itself.
Any mind can shift harmful patterns into conscious creativity.
Crisis is a doorway. The Chinese character for 'crisis' includes the characters for danger and opportunity. Crises and transition times are red flags, potent with possibility.
Life happens in relationship, where any two meet: transition times, the edges of both things and experience. Life naturally calls us into meeting Other. There is great fertility at the edge of the evolving unknown.
Where attention goes, energy flows, form grows.
Listening calls forth our nature and our capacity.
When we integrate what we shun or ignore inside ourselves or out the world, we gain resources. As we integrate, we reveal our essential nature. When our essential nature is free to express, vitality increases. We create more effectively.
Joy is inherent — it is our birthright.
observe mind, shift perceptions, harness the power of vision
Open the mind to the wisdom of this moment. Free thinking from habit. Engage the power of the imagination. Inner experience shapes all physical expression.
befriend these messengers—keys to desire and creativity.
Emotions are emissaries from our soul. They carry insight about what we desire. When we welcome our emotions, we can plumb the meaning of any event. Curiosity transforms that which is blocked into fuel.
unlock blocks, restore health, generate vitality
Re-Member Yourself. You are a map of millions of years of evolution, you can access a vast heritage of intelligence. Your body is The Ground of all the perceptions, all the sensations, all the experiences you will ever have. All biological patterns shift through curious engagement. Anywhere you are, you can enliven.
listen deeply, recall the sacred. Be at Home
How do I re-source? How do I reflect and get perspective? What gives me resilience during challenging times? What delights my soul? How do I wish to love? These are questions of spirit.
handle the details, get effective
We live in evolutionary times. As any other biological organism, we can rigidify or adapt.
Become resilient, flexible and responsive. Practice integration.
Structure provides a container for our energy. Focus gives it direction and power.
